A Simple Breathing Exercise

Find a quiet place to sit and close your eyes. You can do all the breathing through your nose or inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. 

 

Inhale for 4 counts

Exhale for 4 counts

Inhale for 5 counts

Exhale for 5 counts

Work your way up to 10 or more

 

Try to feel your body completely free of tensions and restrictions as the air smoothly flows in and out of your body. You can practice this anywhere: in bed, at the office, on public transportation. Simply relax your body and focus on your breathing.
